Twilight Movie Trailer
This one’s going to be a monster and it’s generating the kind of buzz that makes studio execs wet themselves.
The Official HD Trailer For Twilight:
According to IMDB, Twilight is a modern, visual, and visceral Romeo and Juliet story of the ultimate forbidden love affair - between vampire and mortal.
Bella Swan (the mortal) is played by beautiful Kristen Stewart. Kristen’s best known for her roles in Panic Room (she played Jodie Foster’s teen daughter - and did an outstanding job) and Jumpers. The 18 year old actress lives with her parents and brother in California and is an avid surfer.
The lead vampire and Romeo of the equation is Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson. Edward’s best known as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The movie’s release date is still months away - December 12, 2008.

Helen Mirren Looking Ridiculously Great in a Bikini
The beautiful Helen MIrren is giving us cause to believe that perhaps 40 isn’t the new 30, after all.
It would appear that 60 is the new 30!
The lovely actress showed that you can be in shape and look freaking amazing whether you’re 23 or 63. Wow. Check her out!
The next time we’ll get a chance to see the “queen” in theaters won’t be until January 2009 - that’s when Inkheart comes out. In addition to Mrs. Curvy in a ‘kini, the film will star Brendan Fraser, Andy Serkis, and Eliza Bennett.
In the movie, Eliza Bennett’s character discovers that her dad (Fraser) has a peculiar talent - he can bring characters out of books.
Ultimately, a villain is released that they have to try to defeat. It sounds fantastically creative and fun. Brendan Fraser’s always fun to watch.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go dust off my exercise ball….

Wanted - One of My All-Time Favorite Movies

One of the best compliments I can ever give to a movie is to see it more than once. For the first time since Iron Man (one of the best movies EVER!), I’ve paid this compliment to a movie.
Truth be told, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to go see Wanted a third time. I loved it that much.
It’s obvious, right from the first, that this is a very unique movie. The way the scenes are shot is pretty much unlike anything I’ve ever seen. To be honest, at one point when the effects first slowed everything down… waaaaay down… I was kind of taken off guard. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it. But by the second or third time it happened, I was already buying into whatever the movie wanted to sell me.
James McAvoy was nothing short of perfect in this movie. He’s an amazing actor and is one of the main reasons this movie is as great as it is. After Atonement I was about as excited about James McAvoy as I am toast. Sure, I realized he was talented, but I never saw that something special - the wow factor.
Apparently he was saving it all for Wanted - because he was sitting on WOW from his first scene to his last.
Another WOW factor the film had going on was one of my two favorite modern-day actresses: Miss Angelina Jolie. Ironically, James McAvoy starred with my other favorite actress, Keira Knightley, in Atonement.
Angelina was amazing in this movie. The fact that someone so incredibly beautiful and tiny can make such a believable bad ass is a real tribute to their acting skills. She has never gotten enough attention, in my opinion, for her talent. I guess it’s a curse she has to bear for not being born fugly.
The action, the dialogue, the humor, the music (AMAZING soundtrack), the acting, the casting - I give absolutely everything about this movie an A plus. I can’t wait for the DVD and viewing number 3.

The Beautiful, Timeless Marilyn Monroe!
“…She gave more to the still camera than any actress…any woman…I’ve ever photographed, infinitely more patient, more demanding of herself and more comfortable in front of the camera than away from it.”….Richard Avedon

Famke Janssen - Golden Eye’s Bondage Girl

Arguably the most entertaining thing about Golden Eye was Famke Janssen in the role of Xenia Zirgavna Onatopp. As a sex-crazed bad girl who enjoys pain (giving, receiving…doesn’t matter), she created one of those characters that when they aren’t on the screen, you’re looking for them - and when they are on the screen, you’re looking nowhere else.
I have, of course, also done my homework on this beautiful and talented actress:
FAMKE JANSSEN
* Famke was born in Holland in 1965. The USA has been her home since 1984.
* She made her film debut in Fathers & Sons.
* Famke modeled for Chanel in the 1980’s.
* She majored in Literature at Columbia University.
* Famke has starred in House on Haunted Hill, Hide and Seek, X-Men, X2, and X-Men: The Last Stand.
* Speaks Dutch, German, English, and French.
* Famke was offered the lead female role in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, but turned it down. I think the lead role then went to Claire Danes, but I won’t bet my Starbucks’ card on it.
* Did her own pool shots in Turn the River.
* Wears a size 11 shoe! Forgive me, I just find that fascinating.
* While appearing on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” in 1993 to promote her role of the sex-crazed assassin in GoldenEye, Famke gave Conan a first hand experience of her character’s signature moves by performing them on him using the top of his desk. When she asked him if he would like the demonstration, Conan responded with “This is what we in the industry call a ‘no-brainer’.”

Izabella Scorupco - Golden Eye’s Bond Girl

GoldenEye Poster

Between Christmas and anniversary gifts, my husband has racked up three different James Bond dvd sets, so we’ve been watching a lot of Bond lately. Bond. James Bond.
We watched Golden Eye last night with my favorite Bond - Pierce Brosnan. I thought the movie was great - all sorts of action and humor. It was apparently Judi Dench’s premiere as M - and I love myself some Judi Dench greatly. The acting was also really top notch in this one as well. Famke Janssen was hilariously evil in her role and Izabella Scorupco (as Natalya Fyodorovna Simonova) proved to be one of my favorite Bond Girls ever. As always, when I’m watching a movie that has people who interest me, I’ve done my homework and have come up with some interesting tidbits about Izabella:

* Izabella was born in 1970 in Poland. She moved to Sweden at a very young age with her mother.
* Not surprisingly, Izabella worked as a model in Sweden.
* She speaks four languages.
* Izabella was also a pop singer in Sweden and even had a couple of hits.
* She has a daughter with ex-husband, hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski.
* She also has a son with her current husband.
* Izabella claims that when she was working for Ford Modeling, she went without food for 4 months, using water as her only nourishment.
* Was offered the lead female role in L.A. Confidential (1997), but turned it down. The role went to Kim Basinger.
* Was offered the lead female role in The Mask of Zorro (1998), but turned it down. The role went to Catherine Zeta-Jones. (Picking roles may not be her strength.)
* She’s 5′9″ and her nickname’s Iza.
